What a Feeling

The best feeling in the whole world: feeling my sweet Baby move! I felt that movement for the first time last Wednesday :-D I was just driving along, headed home from work, singing with the music up loud, and all of a sudden I felt this little...poke from the inside below my belly button! I stopped singing, and thought about it for a minute, and almost brushed it off as nothing. I started singing again and sure enough, another poke! AHHHHHHHHHH!! It was SO COOL! I called my hubby, crying (lol). He of course thought something was wrong, and told me not to scare him like that, but he thought it was cool too. Since then, I have only felt one more poke, but I have also felt the flutters that I hear about. It feels like Baby is in there doing somersaults with arms and legs fully extended, lol! It's really sweet!!

Otherwise, I am doing pretty well. I'm still having some first trimester symptoms, mostly nausea early in morning and late at night. My belly is growing, and it's getting close to noticeable, especially when I wear a regular shirt, or a non-empire waist shirt. Somedays it still looks like I'm on the border between fat/pregnant. Also, "What to Expect" website says that "Your gums may be red and swollen", which they are, "it's extra-important to take good care of your mouth right now." (I'd really better start flossing....oops) And it says "Also, your now-cramped chest and abdomen (baby's growing fast!) might be making you a little short of breath." I haven't really experienced this yet. It seems awful early for Baby to be making my lungs cramped, but okay, if they say so...I guess it might make sense for a shorter person like myself.

On another note, I had a great weekend! My hubby has been having to work weekends for several weeks now, so it felt like I NEVER got to hang out with him. But, he had Saturday off! Yay! We got up and went out for breakfast (which we haven't done in forever, and I totally love doing!), we ran around doing errands and stuff for a while, took a nap, and went to a friends house for a birthday party. It was so awesome to be able to spend the whole day with him!
